It depends on the size of the slab, how far it has to come up, and whether we use foam or mudjacking. What holds true for almost every job: leveling runs a fraction of the cost of tearing out and repouring, usually a third to half the price. You get a firm quote after we look at the slab, before any work starts, with no obligation.

Leveling is almost always cheaper. Replacement means demolition, hauling, new forms, new concrete, and a slab that needs weeks to cure and years to match the color of the rest. Lifting the slab you already have skips all of that, and you can use the surface the same day.

Polyurethane foam does not wash out, rot, or absorb water, so once the slab is back up it stays put as long as the soil underneath is not disturbed. It is the same material used to lift highways and airport aprons. As long as you do not get a new drainage or erosion problem in that spot, the fix holds for the long term.

Neither is best for every job. Foam is lighter, cures in minutes, uses smaller holes, and will not add weight to already-weak soil, which is why we lead with it in Columbia. Mudjacking uses a cement slurry that costs less on large, heavy slabs. We tell you which one fits your slab and why.
